About Us
The Barn Door Studios, LLC came into being in early 2020 as a result of hard work and determination on the behalf of our founder and owner, Shane Carroll. Setting forth with a vision for the future, Shane built the company's first studio from the ground up. Located in the 'Quiet Corner' of Connecticut, the studio was inspired by the colonial-era architecture of New England. Featuring a beautiful barn door from the early 19th century and field stone walls that serve as natural diffusion, the flagship studio combines rustic aesthetics with modern technology. Currently operating out of Brooklyn, NY, the studio has shifted towards a mobile approach for engineering and production.
Shane Carroll is a jack-of-all trades. As a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, audio engineer and archival engineer, Shane's passion for audio is palpable. His critical ear and his desire to create engaging audio content are strengthened by both his musicianship and attention to detail. He is currently working for Steve Rosenthal at The Magic Shop Archive and Restoration Studios in Brooklyn, NY and has composed beside the likes of Nat Reeves, Steve Davis and Adam Lenz while studying at the Hartt School of Music.
