About Us

Shane is a classically trained drummer and highly skilled audio engineer with extensive experience in mastering, restoration, and production. His work spans a diverse range of projects, from remastering and restoring historical recordings to producing, mixing, and mastering music, audiobooks and podcasts. Currently, Shane works at Swan Studios, where he has credits as a Remastering Engineer and Transfer Engineer for prestigious labels like Sony Masterworks and Mosaic Records. Under the mentorship of 4x Grammy Award-winning mastering engineer Andreas Meyer, he has refined his technical skills, specializing in transferring analog media to digital formats and restoring rare recordings for re-release. His experience extends to collaborating with top-tier artists, labels and estates, such as Joan Jett, Leonard Cohen, Matador Records, and Les Paul at Magic Shop Archive & Restoration Studios, where he led the digitization and restoration of valuable audio archives, working alongside Grammy-winning producer Steve Rosenthal.

As the owner and lead engineer at The Barn Door Studios, LLC, Shane has had the privilege of producing and editing content for notable clients, including New York Times Bestselling Author Jarrett J. Krosoczka on Origin Stories with JJK, as well as producing, editing, and composing the theme music for the InPractise Fieldwork podcast. His expertise spans a range of DAWs, including Wavelab, Pyramix, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and Riverside for remote recording. With a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for collaboration, Shane is dedicated to helping bring your project to life.
